If you’ve been following Bode+Ev for a while, you know this little candle business has lived in a lot of places.

It’s been poured from my home, packed at kitchen tables, loaded into cars for markets, carried into retail spaces and built one candle, one order and one very long day at a time.

But this summer, something pretty special happened.

Bode+Ev finally got a home of its own.

In July, I opened the doors to the Bode+Ev Candle Studio in historic downtown Roswell, GA, inside Two Funky Hippies. It's a place where you can shop Bode+Ev, create your own scent, enjoy a candle-making experience in Roswell and see where all the magic actually happens.

And I’m still having those moments where I look around and think, I get to do this here.

A Little Slice of Heaven in Downtown Roswell

The studio is tucked into the back corner of a beautiful 100-year-old house, in what used to be the laundry room and an entryway for the people who lived here all those years ago.

Maybe it’s the history. Maybe it’s the old walls and floors. Maybe it’s all the candles. 😂

Whatever it is, there’s something about this little room that feels peaceful the minute you walk into it.

I see it on people’s faces when they come through the door. They look around, start smelling everything and almost immediately slow down.

And I love that.

Because that feeling is really what Bode+Ev has always been about.

More Than a Candle Shop

When I started Bode+Ev in 2020, I never imagined exactly where it would lead me.

I just knew I loved making candles.

Actually, I’ve loved making candles for more than 30 years—and somehow I still genuinely love the process. The wax melting, blending fragrances, testing combinations and watching something I made become part of someone else’s home.

Now I get to share more of that process with you.

At the studio, you can shop Bode+Ev handmade soy candles and home + body products, create your own scent, refill a favorite vessel, make your own candle or gather your favorite people for a private candle-making experience.

And lately I've been adding a few things that simply feel like they belong here—beautiful journals, handmade crystal pens and other little pieces meant to bring some intention and calm into everyday life.

Because Bode+Ev has never really been just about candles.

It’s about how your space makes you feel.

Candle Making Experiences in Roswell, GA

One of the things I was most excited about when opening the studio was finally being able to invite you into the candle-making process.

You can come into the Bode+Ev studio and make your own candle in Roswell, choosing and blending fragrances to create something that feels completely yours.

We've already welcomed couples celebrating birthdays, friends looking for something fun to do together and groups gathering around the table for private candle-making events.

You don't need to know anything about candle making before you come in—that's part of the fun.

Smell everything. Play with combinations. Find something you love.

Then create it.

This might be my favorite part.

Couples coming in to make candles together.

Friends gathered around the table laughing while they create their scents.

People walking around smelling every candle until they find the one.

Customers who have followed Bode+Ev for years finally getting to see where everything is made.

And sometimes someone simply walks in, takes a deep breath and says, “It smells so good in here.”

Never gets old. 🩶

There have already been workshops, private parties, collaborations, new friendships and lots of ideas scribbled down for what comes next.

And we're really just getting started.

Two Woman-Owned Businesses Under One Roof

One of the things that makes this chapter even more special is sharing this beautiful old house with Two Funky Hippies.

Two separate woman-owned businesses, each with our own story and style, working alongside one another under one roof.

You can shop their bohemian clothing and accessories, wander back to the Bode+Ev Candle Studio, smell all the things, make something, find something you didn't know you needed and stay awhile.
