In 2020, when the pandemic cost me my job and my only source of income, I faced a defining moment. As a single mom and sole provider for my two children, I had a choice: panic—or pivot. I asked myself one simple question: What do I love, and how can I turn that into something sustainable for my family?

For over 30 years, candle making had been my passion. What began as a creative outlet became a lifeline. With faith, determination, and my entire savings, I poured everything—literally and figuratively—into building what is now Bode+Ev. What started in my darkest season became the beginning of something deeply meaningful.

Bode+Ev is more than a candle brand—it’s my heart and soul. Every candle is hand-poured in small batches using 100% all-natural soy wax, premium fragrance and essential oil blends, and clean, non-toxic ingredients—free from phthalates, dyes, and irritants. We use cotton-braided wicks and 100% recycled glass vessels, creating candles that are safe for your home, your family, and even your pets.

The name Bode+Ev comes from my greatest inspirations—my children, Boden and Eviana—represented by the birds in our logo. They symbolize freedom, transformation, and the courage to follow your purpose, even when the path is uncertain.
